Melba (English) Davis

Melba English Davis, 88 of Charles Creek Rd, Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord February 19, 2026. She was born in Avery County, NC and was the daughter of the late Herman and Essie Wise English. Melba enjoyed the mountains and attending Roan Valley Baptist Church and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. 

Survivors include, one daughter Marilyn Diane Lowman (Richard), one brother James English, four grandchildren; Camille Gouge (Landon), Daniel McKinney (Christina), Katie Boone (Dusty), and Bradley McKinney, and two great grandchildren Olivia and Abrielle Gouge. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wiley Davis.

Per her request private graveside services will be held at McKinney Cemetery with Daniel McKinney and Landon Gouge officiating.
